In order to deeply study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on aesthetic education, on November 13th, hosted by the Public Art Education Center of Jiangsu University and organized by the School of Law, the aesthetic education forum with the theme of "Poetry, Recitation, Life" was held in Sanjiang Building 1619, and Professor Yu Xiaoqi of the School of Law was invited to be the speaker. Prof. Yu Xiaoqi from the Law School was invited as the lecturer, and more than 100 student representatives from the whole university attended the lecture. The lecture was hosted by Ding Yu, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the Law School.
In the lecture, Yu introduced the various forms of modern poetry appreciation, speaking from the language characteristics of poetry and focusing on analyzing the poem "Feeling" by Gu Cheng. "The sky is gray, the road is gray ...... Walked two children, one bright red, the other light green." She deeply analyzed the imagery and metaphors in the poem, bright red represents energy and vitality, and light green represents hope and the future, using the sharp contrast in color to guide students to feel the deep emotions behind the poem. She emphasized that the beauty of modern poetry lies in its abstraction and openness, and encouraged students to find themselves in reading and express themselves in creation.
Then, Yu Xiaoqi played a video of the recitation of Nostalgia, leading the students to feel the rhythm and mood of the poem. Everyone was immersed in the vocal recitation, as if following the poet's strokes, traveling through time and space, experiencing the strong nostalgia. Encouraged by Mr. Yu, one student after another bravely stood up and recited a poem "Far and Near" with stirring emotions, winning unanimous recognition. In the recitation, we used poetry to express our love for life and our longing for the future, and at the same time deepened our understanding of modern poetry and felt the power and beauty that poetry brings.
By participating in this seminar, students not only deeply appreciated the charm of poetry and recitation, but also helped them cultivate noble sentiments and enhance their artistic appreciation and aesthetic ability through the beauty of language and writing.
