On the afternoon of November 18, all the graduate students of the 2503 class of the Law Master and some other classes, under the leadership of Mr. Tang Huapeng, went to the Zhenjiang Fangzhi Museum and the Memorial Hall of the Anti-Enemy General Association of the Four Counties of the New Fourth Army to carry out on-site teaching. This event is an important teaching link of Jiangsu University's graduate high-quality course and course ideological and political demonstration course "Special Topics on the History of China's Legal System". Mr. Jiang Xuesong, director of the Department of Discipline Inspection and Supervision, and Mr. Zhou Sihan, a graduate counselor, participated in the on-site teaching together.
As a professional venue that systematically collects thousands of years of history, folk culture and urban development of Zhenjiang, the Zhenjiang Fangzhi Museum has a large collection of Fangzhi classics, old photos, historical archives and folk objects, and is a high-quality real-life platform for in-depth understanding of Zhenjiang's local legal history. By observing the construction of Zhenjiang's ancient town, celebrity anecdotes and traditional folk customs, as well as physical exhibits such as old objects, folk utensils, and urban change video materials in Zhenjiang, teachers and students of the School of Law intuitively felt the profound accumulation and unique charm of Zhenjiang's regional culture, and effectively enhanced their concrete cognition and deep identity of Zhenjiang culture. In the local Fangzhi collection area, teachers and students focused on learning the main types and basic contents of Zhenjiang Fangzhi classics, and focused on how to use Fangzhi as a type of historical material to carry out legal history research.
As an important venue to remember the history of the New Fourth Army's bloody struggle in Zhenjiang, Jurong, Jintan and Danyang and inherit the spirit of the red revolution, the Memorial Hall of the Four Counties Anti-Enemy General Association of the New Fourth Army is an important educational base for carrying out the study of the red rule of law. Teachers and students of the School of Law took this practical activity as the starting point to immerse themselves in the original mission and spiritual power of the red rule of law. Teachers and students conscientiously studied the heroic deeds of the New Fourth Army in establishing base areas and carrying out guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines, and deeply appreciated the noble integrity of the revolutionary ancestors who were not afraid of hardships and dangers and sacrificed their lives for righteousness by observing precious weapons and equipment, combat maps, manuscripts of martyrs, and other physical historical materials. Teachers and students also focused on studying important historical materials on the red rule of law such as "rent reduction and interest reduction land lease", and discussed how to study the red rule of law.
This on-site teaching is an innovative practice for teachers and students of the School of Law to deeply excavate and revitalize the excellent traditional Chinese legal culture and red rule of law culture, and it is also a further exploration of the college to expand the dimension of school-local linkage and promote the innovation and development of Chinese legal history teaching. The teaching team of the School of Law will continue to upgrade the practice carrier, lead students to enter more real-life venues to carry out immersive research, understand the thousand-year-old wisdom of the Chinese legal system, inherit the traditional rule of law cultural genes, and inject traditional cultural momentum into the construction of the rule of law in the new era.
