In order to help students better understand the legal industry and make career plans, on the afternoon of November 7, the School of Law launched a series of activities of "Law School's 'One-stop' Student Community Lecture Hall" and lectures for lawyers and alumni on campus in the Sanjianglou Moot Court. As a vivid "dream open class", this event specially invited alumni Zhang Maocheng, secretary of the party branch, managing partner, deputy director and member of the school's youth lecturer group of Jiangsu Jiangcheng Law Firm, to give a lecture, and more than 70 students participated.
During the lecture, Mr. Zhang Maocheng shared his rich professional experience and mental journey in vivid and humorous language. From the rigorous test of working in the bank, to the hard work in the entrepreneurial stage, to the basics during the internship at the law firm, he set a record for the promotion of law firm partners with hard work and courage to seize opportunities and grow rapidly. In the field of bankruptcy business, in the face of doubts from the outside world, he adhered to the belief of "not steaming steamed buns and fighting for breath", led the team to make unremitting efforts, and finally made the case selected as one of the top ten typical cases, achieving a gorgeous turn from "this is not good, that is not good" to "this is also good, that is also good". In addition, he also encouraged students to maintain a high energy state, pay attention to healthy eating and exercise, avoid excessive anxiety, be kind to others, and let positive energy be transmitted between people.
This lecture not only allowed students to deeply experience the hardships and struggles of legal practitioners, but also triggered in-depth thinking about future career planning. The laughter and applause at the scene were intertwined, not only admiring the tenacity of alumni, but also introspecting on their own development. The School of Law will continue to give full play to the advantages of alumni resources, carry out exchange activities on a regular basis, build a broader learning platform for students, and help them grow into talents.
